Earth Shattering Lashes

It's Thrifty Thursday!

   Today is the day to save some money! I am going to show you a few tricks about how to save and still be able to afford quality makeup. Who doesn't need to keep their budget in check when it comes to their beauty regimen!

   Most women know, there's a lot that goes into being beautiful. Very few are gifted with naturally good looks, and natural beauty. Even those that don't wear much makeup still have skin care to worry about. While we are on the subject; remember, our skin is our biggest organ and our most vulnerable. We only get one, so we should take the best care possible to keep it nourished, vibrant, and healthy.

   So, the things we need to keep in mind are quality, price, and longevity when it comes to purchasing our beauty care products. There are three different levels of products to choose from: low quality, mid-quality, and high-quality. The prices for each reflect the quality; I guess the old saying is true: you get what you pay for.

   Within those categories there are products that are going to last a long time because they have so many toxins and preservatives that they refuse to go bad, but are terrible for your skin; or you have products that are so fresh and natural that they will only last you a week or two. For those that are packed with unhealthy and unnatural substances the price is low on your wallet, but high on your skin. These products are terrible for your skin! For those that don't last long, they sure do cost an arm and a leg, but most of them are wonderful for your skin.

   So what about those people that want to take care of their skin, without the price tag? Well, there is a solution and I'm going to show you that! It is not a sales gimmick, although I will tell you right now that I am a Younique presenter; but, I am not going to only show you Younique products. Do you know why? Because my makeup bag is filled with more than just Younique products, and I realize that in order to save some money, you may have to sacrifice for a little while to build up your healthy collection of makeup. I mean, that is why we are all here, right?!? To learn how to have quality products for a thrifty price.

   Now that I have your attention; what are your three 'can't live without' items in your makeup bag? For me it's eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara. I can go without everything else, all day long, but I feel naked without putting these three things on. So, these were the first items I chose to replace with quality products. I went from using drugstore eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara, to using Moodstruck from Younique, and Addiction from Younique, and I will tell you; there is a HUGE difference in quality; but not such a huge difference in price.

   Most people who are Younique presenters will tell you to save money with the collections. I will admit, there are HUGE savings to be had on the collections; in fact, you can save up to $107, but in order to do so you are purchasing a $406 collection for $299. Yes, the savings are GREAT! But, how many people have $299 just sitting around ready to spend on all new beauty care items? I wish I did, but I don't. Therefore, I have to build my collection one or two items at a time.

   The other thing that you can do, which I did, is sign up to become a presenter with Younique. The catch is that you really don't have to become a presenter, you can literally just become a 'kitnapper' and buy the kit for a really great price. The kit is just $99 and you get everything you need to replace most of the items in your makeup collection. Plus, if you choose to, you could actually build your own business and make some money as well.    I will tell you, the quality of the products is outstanding. It is worth what you pay for it. The products are naturally based, paraben free, and aren't harmful for your skin. It lasts for a very long time with every day use, I can tell you from experience.

   So, my advice; stop sacrificing your skin. If you have the money to spend on the collections, you can really save a huge amount. However, if you are like most of us; buy a little at a time. It's All About the Eyes

I sat on the fence for a very long time, wondering if I should take the jump and buy the all-new 3D
